Guild Bases
Likely the deepest and most complex system introduced in this expansion, guild bases should provide months of fun and satisfaction for all the folks out there who are looking to work with their guildies to overcome tough new challenges!
*Please note that the names within this post may change by the time Genesis is released*
The nature of the Guild Base is to function as an actual headquarters for your faction; it's an instanced area that's restricted to outsiders, and a place that's chock full of guild activities that will take time and effort to complete. But when you do complete its challenges, you and your guild will be roundly rewarded for your efforts with all manner of various unique prizes.
How to Create Your Guild Base:
We know that you guys are highly anticipating Genesis, and that you'll likely want obtain your guild base on day one, so here's what you'll need to start working on if you want to make this dream a reality:
- You'll need to have a level 3 Faction
- You'll need a certain amount of 4 things:
- Ultimate Substance
- Warsong Emblems
- Mysterious Chips
- Coins
Once you've reached all of these requirements, all you have to do is talk to the faction base NPC in your city, and he'll get you started with your base.
Currencies of Your Guild Base
So you've got your guild base– now what? Well, to actually be able to obtain all of the cool stuff that your base has to offer, you're going to need some new currencies– your hard-earned coins are only a part of the equation in here. Specifically, you and your guildies are going to need Contribution and Guild Materials.
Contribution is used to purchase the actual items that are available in your base, for example, the gear from the armory or the buffs from the Alchemy lab. Contribution can be gained by doing certain base-specific kill quests.
Guild Materials are used for upgrading the wings of your base, and they come in five different varieties. By upgrading the different wings of your base, you'll gain access to better items and quests for purchase. Guild Materials can be collected by doing certain Guild Base quests and from the new 40 vs 40 Faction Wars. (!)
The Four Wings of Your Guild Base (plus the center!):
Your new base will consist of a center room with four looooong hallways extending away from it, each leading to a separate wing. Each wing serves a specific function.
- Armory
- From here you'll be able to access special faction-only gear. Gear from the Armory can be purchased with Contribution, and better gear can be accessed by upgrading this wing!
- Alchemy Lab
- The Alchemy Lab gives you access to powerful 1 hour buffs that can be purchased with Contribution. Upgrade this wing to gain access to more powerful buffs!
- Manor of Justice
- This is where you'll find the various quests that will award you with Contribution.
- Heavenly Vault
- This very important wing is where you'll be able to turn in your Guild Materials to upgrade the various wings of your base. You'll also be able to exchange one type of Material for another here, though the exchange rate is not quite 1:1…
- Hall of Loyalty
- This is the center of your base, and it specializes in.. well, trivia, actually. Answer questions correctly for different rewards! You'll also find some other quests here.
Aside from the different wings, your Guild Base also has an area dedicated to raising monsters! You'll be able to get special quests to kill these beasts for tons of EXP and Spirit!

please let us hav bases without fighting other bases or make 2 types of bases 1 4 fighting other bases and 1 4 just faction that just want 2 play 2 gether

O.K. I got a plan, you set up an imaginary base anywhere on the map, (EXCEPT NAMLESS ISLE, THATS MIIIINE!), make your own invisible alchemy lab & snowcone machine. And then it's home sweet home!!! Tip for clever people: if any other faction wants to invade: THROW MONKEY POO AT THEM! :D I only brought this up coz the price is ridiculous & the fact that it can be invaded is stupid. ANYWAY: pwi will probs make up for it in a month or so.

I don't really understand wut all the crying is about This is an mmorpg it's all based on work, risk, and reward The babies that don't wanna work also don't deserve the benefits That the hard working do. For those complaining about cash shoppers getting an advantage Think about the cost to make a game and maintain these servers and staff members so quit crying and quit already ur not welcome

I'm holding a petition for the following: Firstly, guild bases must cost only 100,000,000. Secondly, other factions cannot take control of a selected base if they happen to win a base war. And THIRDLY, WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HOLD TERRITORIES IN ORDER TO GAIN A FACTION BASE. If you wish for this to be considered, add your name to this list and paste it so that Perfect World International: Genesis, may have a better tomorrow. Eoniro

wow, another total fail by pwi staff. 200mil to create a base.. wtf? Totally screwed small guilds, once again pwi caters for the big rich cash shop guilds and screws any one who doesnt spend $100 dollars+ a week. time to find another game methinks.

same exact thing happened to me with the last update.. 505.. game updates but not the launcher for some reason.. I still can play but it's annoying to get an update request everytime I start the game

You guys need to stop complaining about the substances! seriously you can farm the materials and it isnt that many materials you need either! like seriously it isnt that big of a deal. If anything you should be worried about how much it will cost coins wise (200mil coins). Also as ladypassionfire had mentioned the worthy and strong factions who can work together can make it to their goal.

how are we supposed to be able to all have a base? yeah once we are lv 20 we can pay 100k and get a guild, but getting 12 mil more so i can get lv 3 faction was hard enough! now im only lv 50, and i cant get into the twilight temple, so tell me how im supposed to get ultimate subs, warsongs and whatever ? i certainly am broke, and i had to get a friend to loan me 12 mil. i think this guild base is impracticle. by lv 70 or 80 maybe i can see it as reasonable but at lv 50 things are hard for a veno like me. i say the guild base itself should have been free, but to get npc's to offer u the services of each wing i wouldnt have a problem paying for. i was under the impression that i could give my guild a home but its looking grim and bleek. idk how im gonna pull it off

This is the most outrageous things I have ever witnessed in a game . You have just limited your so-called great update to about 5 factions ! You spend all this time trying to make this game so good for just a few people that can actually farm and afford the materials . 95% of the players will never even witness a guild base . How money hungry can these programmers be ? I know myself . I have spent over $1000 on this game in about 8 months and would have liked to enjoy the new features. I think PWI just designed their way to destruction . You have just discouraged just about everyone from continuing this repetitious crap of being financially abused just to experience the novelties in this game . Maybe you should increase faction members to 3000 because all the smaller faction members are gonna just keep going to the top 5 factions just to witness the guild bases noone can get ! Just the substances would cost $200 . You guys have really shown your true colors now !

I agree with cj2ride1 whats the point of doing all of this all the mats and money, when you could lose your territory and lose your base? PWI YOU ARE A BUNCH OF MONEY GRUBBING ASSES!
