Venomancers are in for a big update with PWI: Rising Call, with two all new pets, a new evolution system, and a fun new instance that will stretch their pet command and control skills to the limits!

PWI: Rising Call is introducing an all new combat instance exclusively for Venomancers, to prove their skill and strength and to earn Feral Soul Stars!

Once per day, between 8:00am to 11:30pm servertime,  Venomancers at level 100 and up can speak to Mrs. Zoologist (585 620) in South City Archosaur to receive a special pass to enter the Lycaeum of Cultivation. 

This special pass only lasts 15 minutes, and can only be obtained once per day – so obtain this pass only when you are completely ready to enter this solo instance!

Once inside, ready yourself and your pet for a fearsome battle! Speak to the NPC and get ready for a swarm of foes!

Starting out, you'll see a semi-circle of dark horseman guards, waiting for the flood of enemies. 

The only way to defeat the incoming enemies is by activating guards to attack them for you, and through intelligent and clever use of your pet and your own skills! As you defeat more enemies, you'll earn "credits."

You can "activate" each guard by attacking them with spells. Attacking a previously activated guard will switch them between "flame" and "physical" attacks.  Activating a new guard costs 100 credits, so you can only activate guards as you earn credits from defeating enemies!

At the fore of this line, you'll find a sweet little puffbird, just puffing away.  This little guy is a key feature of the Lycaeum – you can attack the little guy to cycle through its area debuffs – slower movement, reduced health, or reduced defenses.

You'll need to trigger the right debuff, the right attack types, and use your pet to its fullest abilities in order to succeed in the Lycaeum of Cultivation!

And for your efforts, you will earn Feral Soul Stars!

Pet Evolution

PWI: Rising Call is introducing an all new way to power up your pets, with the Evolution system!

Open up your pet bag to find a new icon for the Evolution system!

Click that icon to open up the Combat Pet Training interface.

You can see that you can now feed your pets Feral Soul Stars to grant them experience or even to evolve! Special legendary and rare pets can be evolved into advanced forms, granting them access to new skills and new levels of power!

Among the pets that can be evolved:

• Baby Hercules
• Baby Blazing Phoenix
• Derjan's Hatchling
• Cuddly Pup
• Harpy
• Monkey King
• …and more!

Once your pet has reached Lv100+, you can trigger its Evolution by expending Feral Soul Stars, or a combination of Feral Soul Stars and Chienkun Stones!

From beast back to egg….

…Bursting forth, more powerful than ever!

Once you've evolved your pet into its new form, the Combat Pet Training interface will offer new ways to power up your pet!

In addition to being able to continue leveling up your pet by feeding it Feral Soul Stars, you can now expend a combination of Feral Soul Stars and Chienkun Stones to change its "Mood" or to "Reshape" it.

Each Evolved pet is set to a special mood, which grants the use of two skills. This Avatar of War is currently feeling naughty, which grants it the "Flash" skill – 15% chance to evade normal damage, and the "Provoking" skill – 30% chance to attract all surrounding targets.

Click the Mood List to see a full list of mood types and their corresponding skills.

To change its mood, hit the Mood Training button!

In this interface, you can choose whether or not to accept the new Mood with its two skills.  Please note that whether or not you accept this change, you have already expended the Feral Soul Stars and Chienkun Stones to change the pet's mood.

And to tweak your pet's power, hit the Reshape button. At the cost of Feral Soul Stars and Chienkun Stones, you can attempt to roll higher damage, defense, and health stats!

As with the Mood change interface, you can choose whether or not to accept the new stats.  Please note that whether or not you accept this change, you have already expended the Feral Soul Stars and Chienkun Stones to change the pet's stats!

Pan Gu has smiled upon the warriors of Perfect World, and granted access to the powerful Meridian life-energy system! Click through to read a preview of this incredible system that will permanently increase your health, attack, and defense!

With the upcoming expansion, PWI: Rising Call, the new Meridian life energy system will be available. When you open up your inventory (press "b" for "baggu!"), you'll see your silhouette now contains a constellation of Meridians, just waiting to be unlocked. Click the silhouette to open up the interface.

The Governing and Conception Vessels are the main rivers of the body's Yin and Yang life energies. They must be held in balance, and you must unlock each Meridian to gain new power.

Click the open Meridian to find the Living Gates and unlock your true power and potential!

Here you can see that there are 48 possible Gates, and in this case, 25 of which are "Living Gates."  You must find a Living Gate in order to unlock the Meridian, and move on to the next one.\

In order to find the Living Gate, you must "attack" one of the 48 Gates, and hope you find the right one!

In order to attack the gates, you will be able to perform Mystical attacks and Holy attacks. 

Here's how it works:

Mystical attacks cost Mystical Pills, which can be acquired from daily quests, special events, and can be purchased from the PW Boutique.

The total number of Mystical attacks you can attempt per day depends on the number of consecutive days that you've logged on – one attack, per day, for up to five consecutive days.  So if you've logged in 5 days in a row, you'll get 5 attacks per day, from that day on, so long as you keep logging in every day!

But when you run out of Mystical attacks for that day, you can use Holy attacks!

Holy attacks work similarly to Mystical attacks, except Holy attacks require 1 Mystical Pill and 1 Holy Pill.  Holy Pills can be acquired via special events and can be purchased from the PW Boutique.

The number of Holy Attacks you can attempt per day is much higher – 50 per day you've logged in, for up to 2 consecutive days.  So if you've logged in two days in a row, you can make 100 Holy attacks!

As you successfully unlock Meridians, you'll see that your health, attack, and defense will increase permanently!

Eventually you will complete a full circuit of the Meridians, at which point you will be able to attack your center, and unlock the next level of Meridians!

As you penetrate each layer of Meridians, you will gain in power through knowledge of your core self! However, each layer will become more challenging to complete, and only the most steadfast and determined will reach true enlightenment!

Nation Wars is receiving an amazing update with PWI: Rising Call, and here's your chance to read up on one of two new battlefield maps, the Crystal Contest!

The Crystal Contest is simple in design, but infinitely complex in execution! The map contains 5 crystals, and each Nation must fight to claim crystals, gaining points over time.

For every 10 seconds that a crystal is claimed, that side will earn 1 point.  When all crystals are occupied by a single team, those points will add up even faster!

The first Nation to reach 99 points, or the Nation that has more points at the end of 25 minutes, wins the battle!

So how do you claim those crystals, win points, and dominate the battlefield?

Here's how it works:

Each crystal has five states:

• True-Neutral
• Neutral-Defender
• Neutral-Attacker
• Attacker-Occupied
• Defender-Occupied

Each crystal starts in the True neutral state. If either Attacker or Defender manages to activate the crystal, it switches to Neutral-Attacker or Neutral-Defender, respectively.

In the Neutral-Defender and Neutral-Attacker states, the crystal will turn into full Occupied state in 30 seconds, unless the opposing team manages to activate it.  Thus, if a Neutral-defender crystal is activated by an attacker, it will switch to the Neutral-Attacker state.  If a Neutral-Defender crystal is not touched for 30 seconds, it will turn into the Defender-Occupied state.

In the Occupied state, the team that holds the crystal will gain 1 point for every 10 seconds that it is held, and if one side holds all the crystals, they will gain 3 points for every 10 seconds, per crystal!

An occupied can be activated by the opposing team to turn into a neutral state. So, if an Attacker-Occupied crystal is activated by a Defender, it will become Neutral-Defender, and will turn into Defender-Occupied if it is not touched for 30 seconds.

The Crystal Contest map is simple and elegant, with infinite ways in which each battle will play out!

The Chienkun Stone serves serious double duty! Not only can it guarantee that a failed refinement attempt will not drop your equipment’s refinement level, but it also allows you to transfer refinement level from one piece of gear to another! But wait, there’s more! It also can preserve gems and sockets from your old gear to your new gear! Don’t lose your investment when you upgrade to new equipment – use Chienkun Stones!

As you try to refine your gear to higher levels, the chances of failure increase. Tienkang Stones greatly increase the chance of a successful refine. They must be placed in the "Special Materials" box to be used.

Normally, failing a refine results in your gear reverting to its original unrefined state, that is, technically +0. Don't let this happen to your hard-won gear – instead use a Tisha Stone and rest assured that even in the worst-case scenario, your gear's refinement level will only fall one level instead of all of them. To use, place into the "Special Materials" box when refining.
